How to install Netbeans in Linux

This is very basic tutorial for begineers. You might have used Netbeans / Eclipse for your Java and C/C++ development. But how to install that in Linux.

You can download netbeans archive for Linux from here. You can choose which archive you want.

Now once you have downloaded the file. You will have a ” .sh ” file something with named – netbeans-8.2-cpp-linux-x64.sh ( This is just a sample name ).

Open you terminal and direct to the folder which has the downloaded ( .sh ) file.

Now, we need to give it permission to execute the file.

chmod +x netbeans-8.1-linux.sh

(netbeans-8.1-linux.sh – is my downloaded file).

We can now open the installer by simply executing it from its directory.

sudo sh netbeans-8.1-linux.sh

Done that. Your installer will now start.

That’s it. You are now done !
